Super sexy, interesting, perfectly written…all words I’d use to describe A SEAL’s Secret by Tawny Weber!
As far as I’m concerned, this was not your average Harlequin Blaze. The characters were well thought out, the plot interesting, and the characters weren’t average. They were also perfect for each other. While the chemistry was certainly there, so was the likable factor. Livi Kane—also known as The Body Babe for being a fitness expert—is ready to enter the next phase of her career. But before she moves on to the next project she is taking some time to recharge. And what better way than to hook up with a sexy SEAL?
The SEAL? Mitch Donovan. Career military, military family, smart and goal oriented. His life is mapped out. Or it was until he met Livi. Now everything seems to be shifting around him and his only thoughts are about when he’ll talk to her or see her again. In the end, there are plenty of obstacles and old insecurities to keep them apart, but love and fate have other plans.
I’m eager to read the next story by Ms. Weber. Hopefully it will be Livi’s friend!
Determined to build a new life for her family after her divorce, Adelia Hernandez has bought a home in the historic Swan Point neighborhood of Serenity. Promoted to manager of Main Street’s most fashionable boutique, she feels revitalized and ready for a fresh start as a single mom. But barely into this new independent phase, she crosses paths with the sexiest man to hit Serenity in years.
Gabe Franklin, back in town to make amends for past mistakes, has no intention of settling down, but Adelia’s proving irresistible. Cheered on by their friends, "the Sweet Magnolias," Gabe is bringing long-absent passion and laughter into Adelia’s life. To his surprise—and hers—sometimes a rolling stone is just what it takes to build the rock-solid foundation of a family.

“…an intensely emotional, all-impacting love story of forbidden love and honor-bound promises!”

True to form, in her latest release, A Question of Honor, Kate Walker gives us an intensely emotional, all-impacting love story of forbidden love and honor-bound promises!
Ms. Walker places crown prince of Mazarkhad, Karim al Khalifa, in the tenable position of retrieving the betrothed of another man…the ‘run away’ Princess Clementina Saveneski. She is predestined to marry and become Queen, essentially uniting two kingdoms. Only fate often has other plans. And once Karim and Clementina are forced to spend time together, it becomes a matter of extreme willpower on Karim’s part to keep his hands off the enticing beauty. But he is honor-bound to deliver her into the arms of the man her father arranged for her to marry at age 13 and, though he fights it, he knows that’s what he must do. Even if the pull between the two is like a living thing and unlike anything he’s ever felt before—or likely will again!—and hard to ignore, he must. It is a question of his honor!
Forbidden love stories are a favorite of mine. Especially those stories—the ones that have couples who aren’t supposed to be together but defy the expectations or restrictions put on them—that leave you with hope that love does defy all odds and is to be placed above familial duties and all other complications. Though, ultimately, it was Ms. Walker’s skill as an author that had me in awe yet again. She gave Karim’s character a true heroes demeanor. She filled his backstory so that it only added to the heart wrenching way he denied himself the pleasure of the woman he desperately needed. And she gave him a heroine worthy of him. One who is strong enough to defy those familial expectations with him. This is a must-read. But be prepared! You surely won’t want to put it down once you start!
A runaway princess…
It should have been easy. Karim al Khalifa, crown prince of Mazarkhad, had one task—retrieve rebellious princess Clementina Saveneski from her hideout in England and return her home to be wed…to another man.
His to find, or his to keep?
It is not for Karim to notice her alluring scent, those seductive curves, the enticing glances she sends his way. No, his family’s honor, and his own, require Clementina to be delivered—pure and untouched—to her unwanted bridegroom. And he must resist all temptation to keep her for himself!
“…riveting tale will leave you breathless and more than a tad heated up as you maneuver your way through government agency rederick, terrorist insanity, and the emotional hang-ups of a sexy tough guy.”

Julie Ann Walker’s distinct voice shines through in her latest Black Knights Inc. book, Hell For Leather. Featuring ex-FBI agent Bryan ‘Mac’ McMillan and bar owner and forensic accountant Delilah Fairchild, this riveting tale will leave you breathless and more than a tad heated up as you maneuver your way through government agency rederick, terrorist insanity, and the emotional hang-ups of a sexy tough guy.
Ex-FBI agent turned Black Knight operative, Mac has solid reasons for keeping his distance from the super sexy Delilah. Not only does she remind him of someone from his past, but she could jeopardize his goal of returning to his hometown and reclaiming his legacy. Only four years is a long time to hold out, especially when the sexy bar owner comes to him and his friends needing help when her uncle suddenly goes missing. Though he’s determined to hold out, Delilah is just as determined to get to the bottom of Mac’s behavior toward her and what he has against her. End the end, chemistry can’t be denied and the two explore—for one night—what each has felt since their first meeting.
Delilah is desperate. Her uncle has disappeared and she’s certain something bad has happened to him. Her first thought after the police inform her she must wait the required twenty-four hours before they’ll treat it as a missing person is to ask the Black Knights for help. Or specifically Mac. There’s just something about him that does it for her—even though he has spurned every one of her advances since they met.
But her fear and the attempts on Delilah’s life push Mac past his limit and he can no longer stop the need to comfort her…and more. But can Mac let the past go and claim the woman of his dreams? Or will he let her go in order not to repeat the past?
Ms. Walker has a fabulous voice that makes me think she has a touch of ‘Texas’ in her. There were a few times her comments (and they could only be hers as I couldn’t imagine the characters saying things like ‘wait for it…” or something similar) did throw me out of the story. But most of the time it was riveting. Her insight into the mind of a terrorist and her ability to meld the action with the romance was shown in Hell For Leather. There were a couple of other issues, like Delilah not dating or having sex for four years that I found unbelievable. Frankly a guy turns you down only so many times before you’d seek solace elsewhere, especially knowing he more than likely was as well, but she wrote the scene where he finally gives in to temptation well. For those reasons, I couldn’t give a higher rating. Though I do enjoy this series and look forward to reading more!
