Sometimes you just can’t fight attraction any more than you can control the weather—a fact that Shane Stryker realizes after seeing Annabelle Weiss dance on top of the bar at a local watering hole. Only Shane has the wrong impression of sweet librarian Annabelle, an impression that makes him determined to steer clear of her. He wants a quiet life with an unassuming wife who doesn’t require the attention of every male in the room. And the fiery redhead who is determined to disrupt his life at every turn just isn’t the one for him.
But somebody needed to tell his body that!
After her failed marriage, Annabelle is determined to find the kind of love that’s messy and full of emotion. She’s not going to settle for less. But there’s something about Shane that pushes all her good intentions out the window and makes her hope he’s the one.
Mallery’s two main characters in Summer Nights share an incredible attraction that can only lead to one of two places: lasting love or heartbreak. From the start, the story gives you a well-established feel for Mallery’s fictitious town, Fool’s Gold. You’ll be greeted by well-loved characters and a few new ones as well. Even through the many bumps and melodramatic moments you will certainly route for the hero and heroine to find a way to make their attraction into something more. While the plot isn’t all that intriguing, the contemporary love-story is worth the read!
