Sweetly sensual, this tale brings the one that got away—or maybe was shoved!—back to Jack Murphy…whether he wants her or not!

Jack Murphy returns from the Navy and is adjusting to life. Okay, well, maybe brooding is a better word for it. That’s until his brother—well, one of them, he has so many!—Keith decides he knows exactly what Jack needs…a little shove in the direction of his young love, the girl he dumped right before heading off to the Navy, Alicia LeBlanc.

In order to get the ball rolling, Keith arranges for Alicia to meet him aboard his boat. Keith plans to help Alicia go over her plans to open a bed-and-breakfast. Only Keith has other plans!

Alicia is self-sufficient, strong-willed and an all-around awesome heroine. She’s a perfect match to one of the Murphy men. Other than the plot being a little slow for me (dare I say it, almost too much sex at times!), the story was well-written. I enjoyed the character’s banter. I found myself wondering what Jack was thinking when he left her at the B&B to take the boat on to his brother’s executives without making it clear they weren’t over. And I had to wonder how Alicia planned to run her watersport business and the B&B even with some trusted managers, etc.

But overall, the story was certainly a must-read if you’re following the Mighty Murphy Men (er, at least that’s how I’ve dubbed them as they are all bigger than life!). Because I’ve certainly never started a Joanne Rock story that I could put down or didn’t enjoy on some level. Ms. Rock just has a way of writing believable, fun and destined-for-a-future couples that dive into your heart and minds for a long time to come!
