Sexy as sin and just as dangerous, Lori Foster’s new professional mercenary series jump starts with Dare Macintosh’s story, When You Dare.

Though Dare is in Mexico on a personal mission to save a friend’s sister from sex slave traders, he isn’t the kind of man to leave anyone behind. So when he finds Molly Alexander drugged, beaten and nearly starved, he whisks her away from harm and back to the states. What he didn’t expect was the intense attraction or the nearly archaic possessiveness he develops quickly. He’s determined to help Molly figure out who wanted to harm her and keep them from finishing the job. All the while situating her into his life so securely that she won’t ever want to leave…

This is the first book of the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. It reminds me so much of Ms. Foster’s early writing style, the whole reason I fell in love with her work, that once I started it I just couldn’t put it down. It’s fast-paced, very believable, and the characters are so well developed that you can imagine them sitting on the dock at Dare’s little hideaway up in Kentucky. It’s fabulous all around.

I am very eager to read the next stories, Trace of Fever and Savor the Danger. And I was very lucky to get the chance to read a connecting story in the anthology, The Guy Next Door, featuring Natalie Alexander (Molly’s sister).
